Reelife real hours

The Reelife Film Festival, of which I am the director, starts next week, simultaneously in Sydney and Canberra, followed by Brisbane and then Melbourne. Nice screenings altogether, more than 2000 tickets need to be sold for it to break even. A tiny budget for promotion and marketing. Eek.

Trying as hard as I can to stay positive about working 6-7 days a week for a month for less than my rent costs. Grrrrr. It can't be right, even for a not-for-profit organisation.

By this time next week the worst of it will be over, thankfully, as well as having done the fun stuff, like go to the screenings and see how audiences react.

But to be truthful, I can't wait for it to be over so I can get on with other stuff.
